The
largest body of water between the Gulf
of Mexico and the Great Lakes is right
in our backyard. Kentucky Lake is
the largest man-made lake east of the
Mississippi River. Over 250 square
miles of water with over 2,000 miles of
shoreline is waiting to be discovered.
The lake is 184 miles long and about 1.5
to 2 miles wide providing plenty of
playground space for boaters,
water-players, and fishermen alike.
The
lake is known for outstanding crappie
and bass fishing with several major
tournaments held each year. In
addition, panfish such as bluegill and
shellcrackers are plentiful as well as
catfish, sauger and white bass.
Numerous resorts and marinas are located
here in Henry County offering boat
rentals, bait/tackle, waverunners,
covered slips, and much more. See
our accommodations pages for more
information.
